When I changed my diet completely.
Even though I was never much of a meat lover, I had no idea about a vegan diet before.
Once the diet was a start, the next logical step was to look at cosmetics.
As a make-up artist, I immediately felt a special responsibility.
I discovered just how much animal products all my cosmetics contain.
I used the old ones until the end, but when I bought new ones, I kept track of all the ingredients, Googled them and checked if they were suitable for vegans.
And not only if the product is vegan, but if the company itself is sustainable.

In this whole world of ingredients, I realised that actually a vegan product might not be good for our skin.

When I was pregnant, I started to explain even more to myself how safe a cosmetic product really is… this inspired me to create VegePure, where I offer pure vegan cosmetic products.
This means that I screen all brands, products, ingredients very strictly before they make it to the VegePure line.
I’m happy to be able to offer pure vegan cosmetics to others.
