How does this work?
PACKAGES
All plastic packaging in our store is recycled and can be recycled by placing it in a packaging container. Several brands offer the option of refilling products, reducing the amount of waste produced.
REUSE
Recycling is very important to us. We use both new and used packaging for transportation. We provide tips on social media on what to do with products at the end of their useful life.
BIOLAGUNEV
Most of our products are biodegradable, which means that the product will naturally break down when it is in use. Biodegradable is better for the planet because it reduces our pollution.
Ask, we answer
During your daily shop visits, look out for labels and abbreviations indicating recyclable plastic and the use of already recycled material. You can find recycled plastic products with this symbol at ♻️.
When we put packaging waste in municipal waste, we are harming nature, as it can take thousands of years to decompose.
Recycled plastics are made from:
1) from pre-consumer plastic waste
2) post-consumer plastic waste.
Pre-consumer means that it is made from waste from a factory which, for whatever reason, never reached the consumer. For example, scrap products.
Post-consumer means that the packaging is made from waste that has already been used by the consumer. For example, water bottles, cream pots that people wash and take to the collection point.
For example, Nurme’s body butters and hand creams are packaged in post-consumer plastic waste packaging, which is a slightly better option than pre-consumer.
